SOPHIE LYFORD

Sophie is a passionate athletic therapist with experience working with both the general population and athletes of varying levels, up to college level.

She graduated from Mount Royal University with a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education, majoring in Athletic Therapy. During her undergrad, Sophie worked with basketball, volleyball, soccer, and hockey athletes, gaining valuable experience in injury assessment, rehabilitation, and prevention.

Sophie works with people who have acute and chronic injuries, as well as overuse injuries. She uses a combination of manual therapy and movement to help her patients recover from injury and get back to pain-free living and activities. Her focus on stabilization, posture, and movement helps her clients achieve optimal recovery and prevent future injuries. Her holistic approach to working with the body ensures that her patients receive comprehensive care that gets to the root cause.

In addition to her work as an Athletic Therapist, Sophie is committed to ongoing learning and professional development through additional courses and training. In her spare time she likes to practice yoga, ride her bike, snowboard and camp. She enjoys live music, shows and cultural events.
